In the past 16 months I have published these four books. “Aristotle Versus Religion”, published in June 2025, is a collection of my finest essays, mostly published in “The Objective Standard.” “The Adventurer’s Club” was published in December 2025 and is my latest collection of short stories featuring various adventurous souls in Brooklyn New York facing daunting antagonists in fast-paced, well-plotted stories. “A Challenge to Determinism”, published in April 2026, is a powerful defense of human free will, showing that determinists cannot answer one overwhelmingly important question. “Life Lessons” was published in October 2026 and is a vibrant self-help book drawing vital lessons from some of mankind’s most robust heroes.
I am currently writing a book on capitalism.
The tentative title is “The Ascent of Western Man: The Rise From Poverty to Prosperity.” Ayn Rand has brilliantly provided the moral case for capitalism and grounded it in deeper philosophy. The great economists from Adam Smith to Ludwig von Mises, Milton Friedman, Henry Hazlitt, and others have established the economic superiority of capitalism. But the history of capitalism remains murky and too often misrepresented.
I covered some of the historical material in my book “The Capitalist Manifesto” (University Press of America, 2005) but much more can be said. That is what this book will do: It will provide careful documentation showing the misery and truncated life expectancies in Europe for the 1200 years prior to the advent of capitalism in the late-18th century. It will show the reasons that and why living standards were appallingly low for so long. It will establish that the system of individual rights quickly, starting at the turn of the 19th century, raised living standards and life expectancies–and how and why. It will describe the achievements of many of capitalism’s heroes from James Watt and Matthew Boulton to the brilliant inventors of America’s glorious “Inventive Period” (the late-19th century). And it will definitively establish that the so-called “Robber Barons” were instead Productive Geniuses.
The glorious history of capitalism will no longer be murky or misunderstood.
The book will be published by Loco-Foco Press in 2027.
